I have to keep reminding myself that his goal is not to keep her as his wife, but to revive his brother. This chapter drove that home completely! But I’ll still hold hope that his feeling will change—Daisy will bloom into his cold, dead heart…. And change his plans.
I do not like the fact that Rhain’s plan is to use Daisy. She is a sweet and innocent young lady. I hope Rhain fools around and falls madly in love with Daisy. If Rhain only wants a throw-away bride, he should have chosen to marry Katherine’s older daughter. Daisy and Helena have suffere enough. It is good that Rhain still has the capacity to feel guilt. I hope his capacity to feel guilt will strengthen with each day that passes and he will love Daisy more than he loves his brother, Roy.
It is going to take him more than a few kisses to change his plan. I don't think he is being deceptive about his intentions. It is his brother after all and if he has been without him for a long time, he must be serious about waking him. I am curious as to why it has to be Daisy. What else is special about her? And curious to see how she will change his plans.
