Generally, an interlude is events unrelated to the main story, which happens in the last two interludes, which are basically a continuation of the story. As you know Game of thrones is not a one dimensional storyline there are multiple events happening at multiple places at the same time that are important and some are just for fun so have at it as you please.

Im quite fond of the interludes. They make a fun time and are specially good when you want to take a break from writing the usual politics of ASOIAF
