I'll just stop reading, all that of not asking for a wish and he's giving his all in the military, training his body to get something he could have had from the start. In the military, they call each other by their last names. They would never or rarely reference each other’s first names. Especially the instructors. Their last names are on their uniforms so it’s a lot easier to remember as well.
