i find that his meeting with gloria (who is 90 years old) is a bit forced, especially since in 2 lines she teaches him. he can understand that for witches the transmission of knowledge is important but I find it a bit weird.

chapter 1.7 and 1.8 much longer but not necessarily a good thing for 1.8 indeed this gloria does not ask anything from the mc, from where it is easy to learn magic outside the family :'( this chapter does not makes no sense to me

I really liked seeing Haiti represented here, it's quite badly seen abroad because the most famous aspect is the fact that you can wake up from the dead, zombie as we call them here, people who died recently who when you woke them up following your Directive, weird thing lol. You know you could make Orion's life easier if he occasionally talks about the visions he has, it will really help him in the future when he might mistakenly say things he knows, change events.
