Late to the show but arcane mage would be the icing on the cake , just for the potenti alone , his stats are already leanin towards a mage build , why not go for the most advance basic blank build , poisons warlock is useless he has a stone that grants him extremel high affinity with the element , this is just worthless addition as the author would start out a the base with it either way. Arcane mage is the most Based class for his current build . Author is not going to go with it or he would have put Arcane warlock insted of poison…. Hiyaa!
I think he should take Heir of the Ghost King. - Heir of the Spear God remove the first seal of the Spear and give him nice skills, but he can't use the Spear for now since he's monitored and he can always buy/find Spear skills later. Plus he can remove the seal by himself when he get stronger. - Nigth Assassin is basically useless. It bring no immediate or long term enhancement, as assassination can mostly only be used against weaker enemies, which he's not likely to find in his journey. Plus he already have stealth and night vision, and they can probably be developed later. - Arcane Mage is interesting, but I don't see him really needing it. Following the idea that this class is mostly a sandbox one since he need to train and develop it alone, he can already do the same with his simulated combat space. Plus Record can allow him to copy spells and dissect them to analyse his faults. - Poison Warlock, besides being a stab to Blood Warlock, have kinda the same problem as Arcane Mage. Besides the enhancement/Berserk skill, it offers no guidance and even come with the liability of locking his attunement to other elements along the risk of becoming the number 1 enemy of everyone since it is ominous and shady. Furthermore, the Astral poison stone already offers infinite possibilities of usage, he just need to train with it. - On the other hand, there is no way of easily attaining the skills/possibilities of the Ghost King with Corey current skill set. The gloves, although a growth item, are limited in their usage since it only applies to Corey's hands (and weapons). This class however, offer him ghost related abilities and the power to control other ghosts. When you think ghost, what do you imagine? Phasing through matter, flight, invisibility, immunity to physical attacks, telekinesis, AOE fear debuff !!!! And the most important is that it doesn't lock his other abilities or attunements (at least I hope). And concerning the power to control ghosts, I see 3 possible positives points in it. The first being that ghosts could act as scouts and help Corey collect more infos for Corey (maybe with vision sharing). 2nd, if he can access the dead memories, he could collect information on locations/beings/events, or maybe even acquire their masteries and knowledge (mechanic/sorcerer/medic/herborist etc). 3rd, he can now truly become the Smile Reaper and control their destiny, creating an army of them. So please, if Heir of the Ghost King wasn't your choice, dear author, choose this. Although I'm realising that you probably already chose in the Priv chapters...... Oh well.
Arcane mage is literally like peanut butter and jelly , it's combo with his talent is over powdered. his virtual space in his mind where he don't have to fear danger of his on spells and limited mana. (P.s readers don't be a deuce and want some stupid assassin or spear class, if you don't choose arcane mage don't comment.)
If you want a balanced Jack of all trades kinda class you for Arcane Mage, it has potential...you can also focus on one way use of Arcane mage abilities to focus on a single thing but that would waste of class. And if you want mc to give his focus one thing, poison warlock is best...as we know, mc mainly does physical combat... with skills as support in warlock class he get physical abilities with some poison abilities. For me I think being heir of one will be limiting oneself...it may help him become strong faster but it's potential is fixed and night assassin didn't truly attract me
