Well, at that point in time most of the gods were either killed, sealed or subversient to Gaius, so they couldn't help. Look at Chronos, Nemus and Anulo, theyacted against Gaius will and as a result, one got sealed, another got killed, and the last is still MIA. The fact that they didn't help doesn't mean they didn't want to, or tried. It just mean they failed.
