And this might be where I'm done with this book. Every chapter that tries to make this third rate villian a thing does nothing but make Aron more and more like an idiotic side character in a story about him. First the attack that shouldn't have made it past his security measures, then giving him the superpower to connect with anyone basically who has ever had a thought against the empire, and him having enough power to make someone unalive themselves. None of this has made him a good villian it just gives plot armor to stupidity. I feel this will get dragged out for another hundred chapters and culminate in him being found by a satellite because he is giving off to much mana but not before doing more things that should be cause for Aron to get dethroned because random people commit terrorist acts.

I’ve loved this book and excitedly waited for each chapter… but lately, just like other people mentioning it, it’s been a slog. Every chapter with this villain feels like a wasted of time and effort to read.
