Her PoV doesn't even make sense in this context. He's having a flashback because he accepted Ren's memories. Giving her past PoV in this way is weird.

don't try to fix something that's already screwed up, honestly if Mary is the MC's partner, this story is not worth it... because you could completely avoid the romance, revive Jasmine or find a good partner (since the ren of that world doesn't exist), I don't see the need to mix it with a character like Mary

have you guys never heard of "world building" like this is fleshing out the characters and building the world for the future.

I although I hate the flashbacks I appreciate flessing out the characters You never know what you have till you loseit.
