While this chapter is absolutely 💔, it’s still my favorite so far!! Cane put Iris first, ahead of his plans & even his need for revenge against Alpha Gill. He saw his mate needed him & that’s all that mattered. Also we finally got to see what was going on inside that head of his. I hope he starts to communicate more freely with Iris now, & that they only grow closer from this. They need each more than ever now.

we did get to see that he does remember what he has done and how he appreciates her
