This novel is amazing and has good potential, but I'm starting to lose the grip on this story, Author. Things are just too slow.

What was the point of having Sam forfeit the main tournament to "hide his true ability," only to get his booty blasted, off camera, in the successor tournament? If he expects it to take Asher 4-5 years to be able to help his mom, its not urgent enough to use his loss here as a plot device. I appreciate this story immensely, but there is just so much waste regarding words and characters that it hurts.
