Nice story probably there's a lot to clear here or maybe i read another meaning in to it .if I read correctly you told us that the mother opened a portal . unless 3 of them went through the portal which wasn't specified there or that it was a mini portal which was within the same location .going back to where the dad was murdered was practically zero . I think the timing and setting is somehow neglected ...no shades

Wow, the beginning is so painful, G.K must have gone through a lot, loosing both parents in one day. Life isn't always fair.
