Galanar
Ngl, the mc’s beliefs about his strength don’t make much sense to me. He could kill a level 30 wolf but you can’t ignore the healing he got from the NPC. Aside from that, I still don’t get what it is about him that is supposed to be strong. Sure he has a summon, but who cares? His summon isn’t particularly strong except if his plot armor is somehow going to bolster it. The mc hasn’t really done anything of note either. His two spells don’t seem noteworthy either. Sure, he ’created’ them on his own, but wouldn’t any other mage player? Even the extra stats he’s gained from training should not amount to much. Except if by some chance he’s the only player that has tried to participate in the training grounds (and he is not, that pheonix character immediately went to a mage tower to learn magic so he is hardly unique). What’s more, he started out with no racial trait or bonus stat points, so he can only be weaker. Even if his affinity for spiritual energy is supposed to be some hidden racial trait, that only lessens his DISADVANTAGE to only missing bonus stats. Alex has done nothing noteworthy so far except for leach experience from the fights of others, and it seems like that is somehow being misinterpreted as his own merit/strength. He might be more skilled than the average player (which shouldn’t mean much since he already was in previous games), but he hasn’t come across anything advantageous so far. And although the author said classes aren’t supposed to be meaningful to the players (which is stupid imo), what sort of advantage is he supposed to get by not having one? Other class players can apparently pick up skill trees (which we have seen nothing about btw) as they please too, so is being classless supposed to be a precursor to something else? I usually don’t like POVs but the one chapter where we had pheonix’s POV contextualized so much of the unexplained happenings from Alex’s POV ( like how actually learnt of the races and traits, as well as the mana lobe being a requirement for magic) so I’m hoping we get more of her so we actually understand what is happening.
