This doesn't need a system, not at all. The point of this fic is probably not being a "loser" like the original mc. You could see it in the way the now reincarnated character call him. Let's say he does successfully do better than the other guy, it wouldn't amount to anything. Was it really his effort? Or is it the system? I still haven't read the other chapter, might change my opinion on the system but probably not.
