Dumb is my first thoughts about this chapter but I won't judge just yet till a few chapters later to see where this goes. all I'll say is, this meeting with Danzo is probably pointless in the story unless he either gets mind controlled or danzo dies soooooo

the cursed seal itself doesn't really have any detrimental effect on the user but only prevents revealing information about "the root" and "Danzo" while speaking. It disappears when Danzo dies, or if the MC destroit it. Sasuke managed to destroy a fuijutsu whose effects are roughly the same during his fight against Danzo with a large amount of Chakra, so I think the MC will be able to destroy the Seal in the future. At the moment, I see more positives than negatives to the MC joining the root. he will receive real combat training and gain knowledge of assassination and medicine. He will also have access to a large number of resources and Jutsu. Although the root remains secret and their formation remains highly debatable, the formations of the Emotional Detachment and brainwashing them. This type of training is effective on childs but the MC already has a developed mind and knows what to expect.

let's hope that he isn't subjected to root brainwash and his reincarnation isn't revealed...

Idk man something is Just not right with the way danzo acts… I dont think he would tortuge him right away… I still hope you Can maybe speed it up a little maybe some timeskip in 2-3 chapters maybe until genin than I dont think you need to write wave arc Just skip to chunnin exams… this story is really good man Pls continue

The uchiha massacre just happened the idea that danzo would do somethings so blatant and so obvious so fast doesn't fit his personality and character at all but if you use this as a way of getting rid of him then cool but beyond that this is now a heavy AU due to the sudden personality swap.

There better be some serious consequences coming to Danzo.

idk about anyone else but I get the feeling that if he does manage to become a part of root he'll be more and more closer to THE Sosuke Aizen. I mean genjutsu, kenjutsu, taijutsu; that's practically throwing clues to the faces. Plus, people keep saying he'll become a servant of danzo simply because he's implanted a seal. The SEAL in actuality, is branded on his subordinates to not speak of Root and Danzo in any descriptive way(and quite frankly, not that extremely complex fuin to influence their minds simply their words). Itachi managed to get out of the village after being in root. Yamato later on was out of Root too. What made them fearsome were the Indoctrination they gave to CHILDREN while YOUNG to morph their mindset.Also the MC isn't just some Karen of 21st century to be that easily influenced by brainwashing from practically illiterate shinobis who haven't experienced our extent of knowledge exposure (so yeah, I'm talking subservience through physical torture, their emotional fetters to village or feeding their fears to the extreme). While Itachi, shisui and many talented ninjas were smart, their minds were practically blank canvas to be painted for danzo which won't be the case for our mc(though I'm expecting major trauma, apathy and emotional shutdown tbh)

dont know whether i am happy with this chapter but will still read as long as they do not find out about reancarnation or plot knowledge. hope he gets out of it ok
