Why is the Kaiser family so hellbent on going against Alexander ? Just because he is allied with a family in another country ? and expending so much forces for not much material gain is kind of direction less. Or am I missing something?

This coming battle should be won by Menicus if not he's dead to Alexander, and if he win the age of phalanx will also finally end.
