Ngl Xiao’er is pretty useless to the point where it’s getting annoying. Sure her talent isn”t comparable to the MC but she doesn’t even fulfill her job as a maid and only complain and cry ab the MC not abandoning her. Bruh if you don’t wanna be abandoned then strive to be irreplaceable but she’s hella useless😂
I personally think Xiao'er is inconsistent at best and unreasonable at worse. First, she is worried about being abandoned, which was unlikely to happen. Next, she is apparently satisfied with only being Xue Bai's dual cultivation partner which would still make her a vase, just not a useless vase. Finally, after all that talk about being useless, she doesn't even cultivate the extra stages despite knowing about them and isn't even diligent in her regular cultivation. Maybe she was right to worry about being abandoned because with this mindset Xue Bai will almost be forced to eventually leave her behind for her own safety at some point.
slarbi123:I get this too much at this point, I know. But I still say inwardly, even if she was useful, what can she do? Life is good, and there aren't any enemies forcing them into hard times. Xiao'er acts this way because she knows she can. If life starts going downhill, she obviously isn't going to stay this version of herself. But those are just my thoughts.
