Beautiful writing as always... i do wonder though, whether no ask where are the missing root ninjas after their death? Even if they are orphans the hokage should at least have report on them on their number and overall movement even it's a fake report from danzo
He is aware and pretty sure he's the one that allowed its existence. The issue now is about how 9 root ninjas just died and lost fighting force for the village.. whether or not Danzo controls them the village just lost its fight force and it would make sense if danzo was to be held accountable. It is also could be reflected as butterfly effect and just now on the new chapter Kakuzu just stated that it was root that attempted assassination on mc and if Jiraiya were to find out it be clear that Danzo has betrayed the interests of the village.
BravoBuds:Hiruzen is aware of ROOT’s existence, and the fact that orphanage is the main route in which Danzo recruits, but not of the way Danzo brainwashes them. Although I am not sure if this answer is necessarily correct, this is what I think the circumstance is.
