dagoyaju:Troubles are fine and well, but in your prior chapters was never a mention of violent tendencies, but nature loving and life granting magic. Which let me think of the pure and uncorrupted versions of elfs. Troubles by negligence and/or arrogance at his power would be fine, but by stupidity just hurts. Even some mentions in this chapter of prior feelings of bloodlust being strengthend would surfice. Out of the blue however make the MC an idiot that inflicts self harm for power, which he really doesn´t need. He can TALK to magic to make it happen, instead of Shins scientific approach to guide magic. That is like ten times more powerful and ten times less prone to explode in the face when done in haste. If the MC seems smart, but inflicts self harm by idiocy, then he comes of as either an edgelord (at this point I drop a story cause I hate these guys as MCs) or an idiot (while less bad takes much fun out of the story). He was 16 and grew again to 15, which for me doesn´t equal 31 years of mental age, cause teenagers are selfish idiots more often then not and he lacks the expirience of self sufficient life and responsibility. But it should give him enough life expierience to not shot himself in the foot at least, which he did.
