I think the Author should try and find a way to make the mc older without ruining the story.(through a time skip or otherwise you don't have to do it in 1 chapter it can just be that the time between chapters gets lengthened idk. do what you think is best author has done a good job so far)Just my opinion don't force it to happen if it will ruin the story.
