it isn't like he could have just used his quirk to escape. Deus ex machina much? A simple ⭐if I am incapacitated or unconscious I will be teleported to a safe location⭐ could have saved him easily. That's the problem with op powers, if you want to add drama this way, it will always seem forced because the op power should have easily saved him.
