So finally a glance at Mendou possibly mysterious past.I wanna take a risk and say that this is related to his parent.I'm also pretty sure that Mendou had already 'awaken' his magic potential considering his strength.I would also like to add his 'facade' are usually use in most mysterious, strong, and joker type mc which hide their true self.So kinda expecting Mendou to be either Reincarnator/Transmigator.I exclude Regressor cus he doesn't act like one.Tho I'm more incline to believe he is a reincarnator from another world. . . .
