It gave off this vibe of a group of siblings staying up late in the house watching TV/gaming and having to hide/pretend to sleep when their parents finally get home and they gotta maintain it until they finally pass out. Void must have been sweating like crazy especially when Tevus brought up the fact that he is under house arrest but is probably doing something crazy. Which is exactly what Void is doing.

good thing he didnt use the gravitation aspect of the void light to stick to the ceiling they might have sensed the energy usage

Gotta be honest, I was half expecting for this filler-like side quest to take up a whole arc. But it seems like it's more of an easily forgettable plot device that becomes more relevant later on. Good stuff!
