so much theory and (except for the qi flying around magically) it sounds like it makes sense how he plans on doing it. it might have some "open windows" depending on how exactly the "real" implementation works and its "resolution". like small fast objects like a poison needle could fly through the net if it dies it at the right moment fast enough.
