my advice to the author is not to do this because every book is gonna have hate no matter what you do. the best bet in my opinion is to just ignore them and write your story your way. when you respond like this you just get yourself worked up and the haters looking to find more falt with your book even more. it will even get some of your supporters riled up to protect the book

There kids don't pay attention to them, they like to have control over a fanfic because all they read are horrible ones w 10000 harem members and a op system everyday so don't listen to them.

neat, people usually ruin good fanfics cuz they aren't going the way they want them to, plus having a bad leg got nothing with how good the story is; its a choice made by author and readers got no say in that. you can't simply interfer with how the author want his MC to be. things that readers should complain about are bad grammar, bad interactions, absence of character development. . . things like this are usually what readers shoule critique about a story. but the making of characters(personality/appearence) especially his own OCs? its up to author to make them as he see fit.
