They're calming, curious, and smart and yet they have that natural feel to them that some people miss when writing spirits / deities / etc. I notice a lot of times, people make them almost robotic or unemotional, etc... And I cannot see spirits, Gods, etc. being like that. Tui and La also fit their yin and yang symbolism well, being similar but different and I JUST REALLY LOVE THEM AND THIS CHAPTER. i dont think that adding the age to your new life would work like that. if you die at 15 and reincarnate and live for another 15 years you arent 30 mentally you are just 15 with the memories of another 15 year old.
