Yea. No point in wasting words trying to give excuses. He is a slave. He can't act against her, he can't leave. You might know canon, this might not be an AU, but the MC doesn't so he should always be aware there is a chance of betrayal or being used. Even in canon it happened: Hayuga clan sacrificed their clan leaders brother for "peace", did it hurt them? Not really, the guy was a slave. In a realistic world, like that one, one day they will need an alliance to the village: Easy solution, marry Kushina to someone to make an alliance. The MC? He is a slave and can't leave so no need to consider him. IF he was a kid.... 4.5 years old, easily fooled it would make sense but put a dump on him being intelligent, he is not a kid. We trust you MC, but only if take this seal on you. Great way to develop loyalty. The bottom line, me and I imagine some other readers, just don't want to read about an MC who is a willing slave. It doesn't matter if everything turns well. Like someone said in comments "everyone is a slave to someone", a bit extreme but I get the idea which is why I don't want to read about it. Only reason author keeps saying he is not a slave because the author knows he plot and knows how it will come about, maybe not in details but enough to say "not badly". Zero consideration how it makes the MC appear, just "not a slave". Anyway, its probably pointless, not like the author will change it, maybe in a future novel. Im out.

I feel sorry for Kushina, she gain a Loyal soldier but she loose a friend If its a simple body restrictin seal Idon't care but it says that he would be inable to have bad intentions, so is a seal that affects his mind and thoughts. I know that he would be fine, after all he is the MC, but the MC himself don't know it. And the second annoying thing is that kushina would be super conditioned because 1- His friend now is unnable to dislike her o hurt her so is super empty relationship, in consecuence for now on, she can't now if he is with her for the mind conditional seal or for his will 2- this has two realistic ending "she stay with him for guilt" or "she don't stay with him because she want something real, someone who chose her not some who is obligated to be with her". You can say that im overthinking but thats how real relationships works. The simple fact that become a boss of your friend change the relationship and put it in danger, imagine knowing he can't have any kind of bad intention or hurt her despite what horrible things she could do to him. Imagina knowing that you can spit in your friend face and kill his mother but he wont have bad intentions to you, its weird, even more if its a love interest

After reading the other novel of the author, quest maker , I had high expectations for this novel, but not even 10 chapters in and the mc has turned into a slave.

Good chapter, moreover I don't even know why people are crying, at worst the mc can remove it later, moreover it's not as if he went to hurt Kushina and is not a slave seal I mean he can just ditch Kushina, he doesn't need Kushina listening either, anyway what a drama queen team 🙄😌

depend on how the seal work if is like the hyuga i'm against it. for how is worded he can't kill or plot against Kushina and is hard, but not impossible leave her side. so in excenge of not be involved on Kushina death and be her guard he will gain Uzumaki and Senju protection and jutsu that isn't bad deal if the seal don't harm him like the Hyuga. beside like other have said if is a bad seal mc can remove it when he is good at fuinjutsu

The idea behind the seal is... okay? But the aspect of 'no thought' is too much in my opinion. I won't drop or anything, just saying my five cents that 'cannot act against her in a malicious manner' would be enough.
