I don't mind the MC's stupidity on the first chapters because it made sense, as stupid as his decisions and actions were. But this takes the cake I get that it's cool to have character development but there should be a limit. The more stupid the MC are doesn't mean his future development of his "intelligence" will be satisfying since it's normal for others to expect him to already have a proper functioning brain. I'm dropping since I don't think the future "character development" will pay off the frustration this gives me, which is very common for stories that have MC as stupid as this.

we read too many cultivation novels where mc is psycho who would exterminate clans after clans in the name of protecting his loved one. that most of us are fine with killing others, even if it's fictional. i remember that i can't even imagine such things when I was a teenager.

I really hope he drops his earth morality and Stops being naive or this novel is gonna get really annoying

The herbs also being of top quality and high quantity makes me think that Lin Fan got a lot more from the reincarnation than at face value. The fact the god gave him a random body and unknown skill probably impacted the karmic link. By that I mean a decent portion of the god's karma also went along with the "gifts" for being too sloppy about the mandatory recompense, and then he blatantly lied about doing so much more. Words have power in these kinds of worlds, making such a claim without backing it tends to make the Heavens do a little work at balancing the karma. So ironically the little note was probably a stronger karma link and might have given even more benefits on top of it all. It could be the reason Lin Fan got such op "gifts". I'm betting the god of earth is going to have some bad luck for a bit until they can accumulate more luck, they'll probably also just assume it was a bit of karma for messing up and not the MC siphoning a bit of divine level karma.
