Dont really like his thought process, it still that of a slave. Okay he has to 'save' her, but shouldnt he be more focused on the why? Plus does he really need to love her? Honestly this story wud be much so better without it, at best with their relationship being platonic. Dont tell me that she is gonna change because the mc 'loves' her, and all her prior acts werent her fault. She didnt act that way that because of her fathers neglect, its because she takes after him.
