I like how the author tries to downplay the usefulness of a tank (its guardian but most understand the reference) and also how apparently they are likely to die... like in what situation would tanks dying not be detrimental to any group? I mean if they go down it's not like whatever they're fighting is gonna be like "jobs done here fellas let's call it a day." they are most likely gonna steamroll everyone else there. a good tank keeps everyone else safe while a good healer keeps everyone alive, damage dealers should be the most common commodity here and quite honestly the low man on the totempole so to speak. my point is even with fantasy logic it doesn't make sense... yes I read the premise and I kinda knew what I was getting into but why oh why must authors make their MCs seemingly useless from the get go. for the plot? character development? face slapping? or just simply to make what we consider normal to be construed as OP? I really have no idea but it's seemingly the trend for stories on here and it really starts to feel like I'm eating stale old saltines without anything to drink...
