Harlyboy
I think a better start would have been him struggling to overcome his circumstances believing this to be his one and only life and wanting to live it to the fullest, no matter how hard it is. You can then have him do something based on his beliefs and self-rules (good or not doesn't really matter, but good would get received better) and die because of it or after, now at his last moment, having lived true to his convictions he asks himself something like "In another life, I wonder if I would end up the same..." I say this because I read too many sucidie prologues and I really don't like them, they send a bad message in general and story-wise they portray a weak-willed protagonist which no one likes (except probably the dirty NTR lovers :D)
he got unbound potential (i e. no limits to cultivation realm because of talent), unlimited energy , all elements affinity, magic affinity, martial arts affinity, necromancy(soul control), charm , and golden rod. ...phew.... if the gods can really give all of these then I don't know how powerful they are specially the concept of unlimited energy
