Continuing or starting a new one would be better. I think I've only ever seen a single author who actually caught up and passed where they left off when doing a rewrite before dropping. Even then I've never seen one who's rewrite wasn't worse than the original. Always screwing over the readers having deleted the original never to be read again instead of leaving it alone.

great to see ya active again TLG missed having you around brother hope the new year is good for you and the family can't wait to see you start writing again if possible I'd suggest something like writing a Stargate ff where the mc is the assistant to Daniel jackson but the kicker is he gets taken and made Ra new host only ra cant do nothing to him and he escapes before his ship is destroyed living on the planet below in hiding waiting for SG1 to come back for Daniel jackson joining SG1 🤔 would be cool to see you spin that wild ride
