Beautifully written. I hope that they won't try to separate Beatrix from her lovers. Instead they will support them and join hands in beating the Russians. The obsessive Alinas obsession towards Beatrix and Damien shouldn't turn malicious.

If I were her I would be raging. Her beloved father and brothers used her as a chess piece by marrying her off to someone she didn’t choose. She was just lucky she actually fell in love with him. And here they are again ready to take her away now that Damien is weak. Why so they could pawn her off to someone more useful next? If I were her I would marry Damien in secret and tell them all to bugger off. Who are they to control her life, she is an adult woman. I think it’s time for her to take her life into her own hands and take a stand.
