You know what would be actually a good idea, this competent Severus to actually go against Dumbledor just because of the actions of the Potters. As far as Dumbledor knewn he trusted him with his life so he was one of his better alies. But now butterfly effect , double Potter andneverything being different. It would be fun for him to go aginst Dumbledor just fpbecause again he makes so many mistakes. I mean Gerralt Grindweld could be say he was not to much at fault, but Voldemort is full his fault, and now Severus being technically other Dark Lord against him because of his fault would be so poetic.Severus can always just say he commit a few mistakes but aside of that, he did not want enemies in Slythering and by being with them he was also protecting Lily. If you make it the right way, Severus will look like fullnon victim while also protecting Lily just to be by what he percived betray by her and not even aknowloge what he did for her.
