I didn’ t enjoy the 2nd person writing, it felt a bit to weird by keeping calling himself ‘he’ and whatnot it sounded like the story was being narrated rather then being experienced, I do hope you see this and might change this, but it is your novel you can do whatever you want, this is just my response.

This chapter needs some serious re-editing, and there are so many useless words which can be cut down to make this novel less clingy

It seems to me he's not clueless ,that's a good start but why don't he suspect his friend? 'cause it's too big of a coincidence that he lost his conscious after he replied to his friend question. Anyway if It was me I would directly suspect it.

at this point i can't point out typos so author i advice you to use grammarly to correct simple typos please i beg you...the story is great
