tripping on the edge of the tub is not fun!! I have done that myself and probably would have landed face first if it wasn't for the bar I installed for my dad (he's disabled) when he visits. it's certainly saved my butt many times with my knee injury and multiple surgeries since I put it in.
We moved into a foreclosure after my husband and I got married and I was pregnant. It was inexpensive enough (yay government grant to buy foreclosures). Technically you’re supposed to have a tub to sell a house in my state, but because it was a foreclosure, it was sold as is. So there’s a shower (1” ledge) wnd a handicapped rail in the shower and next to the toilet. Both have come in handy over the years. Helped me keep balanced when pregnant and helped the kids lean back to have their hair washed.
