He was stressed and his wife knew it so she suggested they go up into the mountains for the day to have a picnic and walk around a bit in nature. Her being pregnant hadn't slowed her down much. She had more energy than he did. - jd12701684dCommented

It had to have been Kane who carried her up that cliff. She heard the full story in bits and pieces from nurses and the police, who managed to figure out what happened despite both victims being unconscious and had already caught the perpetrator since the front of his car was messed up from hitting them and he had been pulled over for swerving, apparently drunk. - jd12701684dReplied to
My dad used to drink a beer first thing in the morning when we were visiting for vacation. He would look us in the eye and say “I swear I’m not a drunk, I just want to spend time with you.” As kids of course we didn’t quite understand what he meant, but by the time we were teens, we got it. It only happened a few times that I’m aware of, but my dad’s job requires a 0.0% BAC to even enter the premises. So he would drink first thing in the morning so he couldn’t be called into work. If they did for some reason excuse him for it (which they wouldn’t), he was ready to say “I can’t drive since I’ve been drinking.”

Yeah, panty liner wouldn’t help there
Vera was honestly more concerned about him hanging in there. He hadn't sounded good simply by hearing about blood. She did her best to stem the flow and clean up her foot. The back of the ankle really was the worst place to cut yourself when shaving. - jd12701688dCommented

She didn't think any stores selling them were open this late aside from maybe a gas station and even so she would have to get past Casey without him seeing. And find a way to staunch the bleeding until she managed to get one. Maybe what she needed to do was put a few of the smaller bandages all around the wound then cover it with a sock before it bled through. I got pulled over for the first time in my life in March over both of my tail lights being out. I was out of town so I had to borrow some tools and find replacements at the junk yard because my tail lights are stupid and were $500 each!
Kane had already taken care of it before he came back by using a YouTube tutorial on how to do it yourself. Casey could have done that if he hadn't been so freaked out by being approached by the police and he couldn't stop beating himself up about it. - jd12701689dCommentedCh 139 You Seem Happy
