Comments of chapter undefined of Immortality System: The Last Human's Transmigration

This novel has made me hate the word "survive" so much. The author has some sort of strange addiction to just writing suspense scenes for no reason. This is the beginning of the novel! I gave this novel a pass for the first four chapters as I thought the author was just trying to hook the readers in. But now I'm wondering if that's all this novel is. One long train of incidents meant to make you feel suspense. The thing is that suspense works best when you care for the character. The author has done nothing so far for me to even like these characters. I'm just confused and annoyed.
