I like this chapter. That last sentence of his smile is illegal. 🤤 And Eve, who is being brave not afraid to speak out from her mind but also polite no matter how rude people towards her. This woman deserves a high raise and respect. 👏🏻 Honestly, people in the society like Heather are so dumb, all they care is about their image, reputation, and class status where they come from. It doesn't really matter but I guess in this era, marriage or money is the ways to matter for them. And Eve doesn't care all those which I'm glad because she has passion for as governess to change and make a difference for future children of the high families. Knowledge is a key. 📚 I can't wait for the next chapter. More excited to learn about Vincent and the Moriarty family. 😄

Did she know why Aubrey and Eugene were picky about job applications? or there are vampires and that may be dangerous for her? it feels like she doesn't know about herself exactly too. i don't know why they didn't share that info with her but it turned out well in the end they will meet soon. i just couldn't understand if she doesn't care about danger and want this job or doesn't know about dangers at all🤔

Man I am dying for more!

I have a suspicion Eve can handle herself quite well. Just judging by her quick wit and knowing when to hold her tongue. She also doesn’t care if she loses her job by sticking up for herself. Slapping someone who is upperclass is kind of ballsy! I love the butler! I like his relationship with his Vincent - “the governess who slapped Mr. Walsh is here.” 😂 I’m still trying to figure everyone out. Vincent is now about 28 and his sister about 26. So, neither seem to be reasonable candidates as a parent to the 11 year old Allie. So, I feel like I have a jigsaw puzzled dumped in front of me and, so far still putting the edge pieces together! I can’t wait to start filling in the center!!!
