I get the cool katana factor... I really do😅.... But we all know that katana are like cutting weapons...exactly what medieval armour were superb against... These armours need to be pierced and hence katana would be a very very poor choice... But it is fan fiction! Glory to imagination 😜

Katanas are primarily decoration and sign of authority for samurais, it rarely drawn and when it does, its a last chance situation because katanas are piercing weapon, not for slashing also its main body are brittle against western armour and weapon, if its enchanted with magic for durability n sharpness then its a different discussion
