This will increase his chances for getting summoned in future while his story will also be more influential, probably giving him a Caster Class rank just from the start. Then you can also make it so that he writes a book for every invented he makes, that too seperated. When all the books were gathered at one place, the book will provide so much mystery that it will act as a highest rank Grimore which can amplify the spell effectiveness by hundreds of time. While it also provides the users with automatic defense mechanism. This can be used by Icarus when he get summoned in future to gain a super boost as he will be able to sense the location of books.

Oh, came up with a mind-boggling idea for an invention. Have you read or seen "The Da Vinci Code"? The movie is based on the book, so it mentions a "cryptex" that supposedly hides the Holy Grail map, a cool container with an encrypted message, but the cryptex from the book seems to be made up by the author, and I have heard of real counterparts from Ancient Egypt and China. If Icarus makes his cryptex bigger (in size and number of rings) and with magic, I can't even imagine what would come of it.
