I am sorry if you felt like I was dissing. I just gave my opinion after reading the chapters you posted. Didn't had the intention to make you lose your mojo. Maybe you will explain why he did what he did in the future but for now I said what I said after reading the chapters. Once again sorry to make you doubt yourself. Writing isn't easy and negative comments may make you lose your confidence but I hope you don't take them to heart and continue to write
Author, all the comments were based in the assumption that copying a power would instant. Unfortunately for the MC and for us, you decided that there would a limitation of the power of copy. It is ok, since the turn down us not so hardly limited. It will make the story more interesting. Why? He could just ask some characters to copy their powers and they would say "why do you want more?". Probably not will be the case, it is just an assumption.
in truth I was in the beginning doubtful but later mid way in the first chapter of this arc I put my bias aside and really gave the story a good thinking about, and realised that he truly is growing as a person. we even saw a glimpse when he killed the assassins sent by his uncle. In truth we can't expect him to be as we want. So author I ask that you please don't drop or even half-ass this, it doesn't matter what the idiots as said say but only those that actually give constructive criticism towards the story.personally I enjoy the story so keep it up, can't wait for his return to marvel, and also Nighteye to that was unexpected for me.
Author-san, here is my advice, as the story is going on you will be hard pressed to remember all the powers he will have, so you can make a list of powers he will use regularly/the powers you have showed us he got (like foresight, permeation etc.) and a separate list of powers which can act as trump card & will give us a surprise. This list will be for yourself only, don't show it to us readers.
I have an idea that hopefully I like. After mc assimilates Loki he can get his divinities and have his own divinity of sprout( his divinity might be power). Because his mutant ability is above omega so I could say it’s almost godlike and with the divinity from Loki assimilated it can kickstart his own. In this way he can get more power through his own effort instead of the gacha. Oh and don’t drop cuz u have a guaranteed reader hear.
The thing is, all you would need to do is reveal your plan to the UA principal and All Might and they would likely help you and make it so you can copy their quirks. He could have been handling this in a way that is minimizing if not completely removing civilian casualties. But he's not. Instead he's acting the stereotypical villain trope. He's supposed to have gotten Batmans genius intellect and amazing bs-OP planning ability dude, it just feels like he's not utilising that. Like, for example, with the help of All Might and Principal they could have called for a private hero gathering to speak of a great evil or underground threat. Gather them all in a room. Then gas them into unconsciousness or something, copy their quirks. And that's just an example I literally came up with on the spot as I was typing. Just ... people are being meaner than they should be, probably because they had very high hopes for this story because it had an amazing start.
It’s all starting to come around glad I stuck with it if nighteye believes in him then I think he has a goal in mind that will be for the best. And it kinda makes sense now if he tried to get ride of all the villans he knew of and even kill some the hero’s would get in his way now though he has mostly free rain and time to copy the powers he stole the real question is will he return the powers he stole to the hero’s after he’s done with his plans and they got a wake up call to the lives of those quirkless? And what is his end goal in this world? Kinda get the nickname now to “dis” because it’s all one big joke that’s gunna come full circle at the end of this arc and gunna leave everyone speechless about it.
