If you going for a cool name keep corvin but trying to have a meaning change it. Gabriel- means ‘god gives me strength’( if u going for old gods theme) Aiden- means ’little and firey’ Oliver- means ‘God spear, or deer-lover or champion warrior’

How about William? resolute protector" or "strong-willed warrior. Also I agree that you should start the story before asoiaf. Riverlands was a great starting point and the whole reclaiming the riverlands was a good plot. Since it's the most fractured lands amongst the seven kingdoms which makes it possible to replace the Tully's.
