I guess one reason why I'm finding it easier to root for Emily than for Anna is how round her character is. She could have been very insecure and shy because of her "abandonment" issues, but she turned into a spiteful and sensible person instead. For the most part, Anna seems to be behaving like a loyal, patient, can-do-no-wrong person and older sister. She's just naturally kind, empathic and perfect, unlike Emily who went through something to become who she is. Perhaps not remembering things from her childhood is behind it and if so, I hope it's explored in future chapters to make Anna's character seem rounder like Emily's. There are also lots of interesting potential character development opportunities for both Anna and Emily.

Wait, I'm confused. In previous chapter, it was mentioned that theír grandma's house was locked. Was it another house, maybe like a cabin? And this was the real house? Because Emily only got surprised to see the mansion now
