They should break up she clearly has an inferiority complex and the mc is a fool for accepting it’s his fault when it isn’t it’s not his fault he is becoming successful and he can’t keep helping her career or she will become reliant on him. The mc needs to focus on his career and eventually meet someone else maybe not in the film industry cause him dating someone in the film industry feels forced especially since she was the first girl he met.
He is too good for her. It won’t be the last time he travels around the world, negotiating with big shots, while making blockbuster movies. So her feeling inferior will only get worse from here.

I mean we already know everything works out for her since the author decided to give a future looking back blurp after she was first introduced about how successful she was now and how thankful she is for him giving her the role. That's not the kind of thing you say to someone you leave on bad terms with if at all. All this drama is kind of tamed by that so there's no real suspense besides will they break up and maintain a reasonable relationship or something.
