Honestly it’ his fault for telling them so much before getting the ball rolling

this reminds me of an incident in my class. it was a class of gujarati (my mother tongue). there was a chapter about a play where a child gets ill or something and his father was very strict who used to rebuke him a lot. teacher decide to enact the play where we only had to speak dialogues. i have always been good at reading and speaking. not to mention, i was a topper at that time, fav of that teacher. so when teacher was going to decide who will be VA for the boy, mc, he was going to choose me. but i denied it hard and chose the father's role. i just found his dialogues and character more interesting than simple boy. i forgot to prepare for the role ofc. just remembered it when i was packing the bag 1 hour before going to school. i quickly skimmed through the dialogues and went to school. i think it was the first period or at least before the recess. we all stood in front of the class. there was only 1 female character, sister of the mc if I'm correct 🤔 my part came later than the mc. so when i spoke like an angry father, full of emotions and in a slightly funny way, it shocked others since it made the whole play more interesting and entertaining. i had problem in speaking the only last dialogue when the kid asks if he can go to play outside and father reluctantly says "yes." it was only word but totally different tone compares to previous dialogues. anyway, the best part comes now. sir asked who was the best. the boys all said my name without aby hesitation. buy girls were very reluctant bcz of the boys vs girls thing going on. they said the only girl who was the VA was best. but their faces were a sight to look at🤣 one of my best days in school. it is always fun to play bad guys. thet make or break the show.
