I've always felt ambivalent about this kind of development in stories, since it kind of makes me feel like all the character development and character interactions up until the point of memory loss become irrelevant and pointless, to an extent. I'm curios to see how the author is going to handle this.

Thanks G3! A lot has happened and even though this is a sad ending to the volume it’s needed for his growth. He started of as a slave, fighting for his life. Forgotten shores taught his about friendship, in Antartica he was learning about conviction, and the great river gave him his freedom. He now has a new slate. Learning how to make memories from ordinary things, finding ways to strengthen himself. Afterall he is a memorably character so will quickly make waves, superhero style. When he is ready, he will get back with his gang. They have a lot to sort too, so time will tell. Tomb of Ariel will be a future venture. Chapter 1234 define his wish. He became free of fate, became a saint, be strong and he’s friends are alright. He wished that a god is born for humanity, a divine being ( hopefully he will become this, as this was the only part of the wish still pending)

Herr are my guesses for the upcoming volume. He is going to fight the Vile Theiving Bird as the big bad from the next volume. Or maybe the volume after that. I'm guessing he will seek out Kai and Effy first as Kai's flaw will confirm Sunny's story. His connection with the government will be reestablished pretty easily as any saint is a massive boon. He will probably have a tenuous reconnect with Neph and Cassie as their lives can't make sense without him. Maybe when he shows up to the White Tower Citadel. Though this will be a frustratingly slow process. I'm guessing his assent to Sovern will be different. It may happen even along the way as he already has experience sensing a domain and has a portion of a domain from his legacy. He will get materials and make new memories for himself as well. Maybe even echos as he is due for up to two new shadows. I'll be excited to see the next part of the dream realm. I wonder if he will look of the part that was the Shadow God's domain. He may also start to make his was to the Tomb of Arielle. Now that he knows it is the size of a small planet on its own he also knows that it will take a long time to travel there . Something like walking to the moon on foot. It will be fun to look back at this comment and see if I was close!
