Half the readers believe Cassie can see fate but can't change it. The other half believes in the butterfly effect where any change can produce drastic results. What we end up is a little bit of A and little bit of B which becomes a convoluted mess where the author can't commit to one direction without contradicting what he previously wrote. TLDR: Cassie good, Oracle class bad.
The shadow bond saved him from being stuck with Nephis in forgotton shore, saved him from Mordret, saved him from the defiled Kai, saved him from the heart of darkness in Antarctica when he communicated through memories and had Cassie help and saved him from the madness of crown of twilight. Also saved him from the constant anxiety of someone asking his name and someone random making him their slave.
This conversation is long overdue, we know Cassie has scars of her own, we know Sunny has a right to be mad about being made a slave, but also he bred her worries when she asked him to promise her to take care of Nephis on chapter 56, she was still unaccustomed to being blind, the weakest she had ever been and him leaving things unsaid didn't reassure her at all, Sunny is not a bad person, but he was not trustworthy and even admitted that if it were up to him he would have let her to die, it's a miracle that Cassie didn't say his true name and forced him to prioritize Neph's safety when she could.
You know this situation is hard, for me cassia told nephis his secret because she was afraid of what sunny could do to nephis “because of her vision”. Sunny told himself that if he went with nephis rain would have died but that is not sure, I think the gate appeared that day because he was there and fate, also the fact he had a master saved from mordred but that it is just a coincidence. So for me the problem is the intention of cassia she did not trust Sunny and use her knowledge to make her friend safe from him, she doesn’t regret her decision she probably regret how it turned out. The way they are talking about it know is good because you have to let it out or it will fester and damage your relationship
Sunny hates Cassie because sunny hates his fate. He sees Cassie as a manipulator of his fate. He sees her in the same light as Nephis. Nephis has total control over him and Cassie has the power of fate to control. sunny feels powerless in this situation. He refuses to accept his fate that is an internal and external better because the dream has literal plans for him
Cassie is really stupid. The reason Sunny became a slave is precisely because she didn't share the prediction with Sunny and Nephs. Everything would have been resolved with a simple conversation. But she decided to act alone without asking their opinion. She thought she was saving Nephs, but ended up condemning her to the dangerous desert and Sunny to eternal slavery. She doesn't want to share the predictions, but she uses these predictions to manipulate everything behind the scenes when it suits her. Sunny got that mirror precisely because of her manipulations, and now we know that this mirror is very useful in the current nightmare.
