Fiend was the easiest to deal with, in that regard. All he needed was to devour powerful creatures or potent mystical materials to grow. Granted, his stomach was truly bottomless. Human beings are around tyrant level, unless you have supreme plus aspect. Tyris is mentioned as a mid saint. What really matters is the power gap between great beasts and corrupted titans.

Anyone else confused by this? Why doesn’t he just wait for the reflection to get close to shore and jump in then? What is the purpose of diving in the lake at all? what are anvils swords even guarding?

Its not that she has the authority ‘over’ death but she has authority over beings that no longer control their own body. Like who has the authority over a person who died in the ocean? Probably the storm god, but also the shadow god I have a suspicion that ki song can also control living life, that just hasnt been revealed yet

If not for the nagging of her teacher, she would have long ago applied to return to the waking world, thus challenging the First Nightmare and becoming an Awakened. Yeah this seems weird. Seeds/gates function as an absorption force of the spell. think of hole-punching a piece of paper until its gone and the remains fall onto a larger piece of paper, that being the dream realm. Nightmares then serve to empower the realms that gates/ seeds are consuming. It should then follow that if sunny can access gates and seeds he should be able to access nightmares. If not then there has to be another way to suppress the seed/gate
