This is so weird. I just taught about Rain and the Soul Serpent. When Sunny dies, does the serpent become unavailable for a period of time until Sunny starts the loop again? But I think I answered my own question because Crow Crow has never disappeared when he was with Sunny. Because Jet has probably died hundreds of times inside the loop.
The spell isn't preparing them for Divinity, but something far beyond that point. I believe Weaver's goal was an entity or entities that were far beyond that of the Gods. I also have a feeling that the Gods and Daemons were two sides of the same beings. As in the Gods were the "flaws" or the "blessing/aspect" because both are so important and the implications are so vast. I think the reason that both sides wanted to stop Weaver was because she/he thought or knew that for the unknown to be destroyed completely, something beyond Divinity would be required. The only way to accomplish this was to destroy what was and combine them all into something that could grow beyond its original purpose. That would mean death for the divine so that something more could be reborn and grow beyond their previous limitations. I also think that's what the other Nephim is attempting to influence.
