Guiltythree
somehow disappointed with the stalling. it feels similar to the period of the forgotten shore where sunny went solo, except he is no longer at the bottom of the food chain. i do remember being frustrated back then when it took forever to finish the last 100 shards. I hope this is not a repeat of that. Sure he is not invincible, but he is a fairly powerful master with a very good partner (Saint) who is a corrupted Devil. he should be able to hunt and pick easier targets. he pulled that off with his cohort before (Saint should be more helpful than the other 6 awakened combined and Nightmare more mobile than the rhino). he crossed 3000 miles with thousands of normal people across the chain nightmares cutoff from Intel (due to blizzard). so i find it hard to believe that it's that difficult to hunt in his current situation. also why the rush to go back to a fort, it's not as if they can heal Jet. healing her requires slaughter and not a hospital.I think he is better of figuring out a strategy to hunt and kill rather than prioritizing rejoining the military. lastly, he got burned enough to leave "get a new core" to fate. he should actively create it when he is close so he controls when it happens instead of it happening during an emergency (remember him being paralyzed in the spire!). I would understand if fated somehow screwed him but he is not even trying not thinking about it which feels very weird to say the least. thus the feeling of stalling the growth so it can be used in a more active portion of the story.
